Art Creative Practice

Continue developing the Body of Work. Document and critique your use of the Creative Practice, and compare historical and contemporary artists' practices using the Interpretive Lenses.
An extended written response, an annotated visual report, an oral presentation or critique, and visual responses that demonstrate exploration of ideas and the finished Body of Work.

Analyse the construction of a media narrative and how audiences engage with it. Research a media form's codes and conventions, then develop a pre-production plan for an original media production.
Produce, refine and distribute the media product planned in Unit 3, then discuss audience agency, media influence, regulation, and ethical and legal issues.
Audio-visual or audio sequences, photographs, print layouts, presentations using digital technologies, posters, and written or oral responses.
Visual Communication Design

Compare how contemporary designers work through research and practical exploration. Analyse design examples from a chosen field, then identify two client communication needs and develop design ideas.
Refine and resolve design concepts for each communication need identified in Unit 3, pitch the concepts to an audience, and produce a final design solution for each.
A folio demonstrating each stage of the VCD design process, a written brief, presentations of design concepts for critique, and investigation of culturally appropriate design practices.
