Year 7 English is a foundation year at Rochester Secondary College, where students are taught the essential skills that will enhance their learning in future years.

Students learn content from the six strands of Number, Algebra, Measurement, Space, Statistics and Probability, with the proficiencies of Understanding, Fluency, Reasoning and Problem-solving embedded throughout.

• Fluency in representations and sound mathematical reasoning

Students study all four key areas of Humanities: History, Geography, Business & Economics and Civics & Citizenship.

Through a variety of art experiences, students study the art elements by creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks, with a focus on Indigenous and Indonesian art.
