Duke of Ed students travelled to Bogong for a week of adventures

The week of 6th –10th August the Duke of Edinburgh students went to Mount Bogong for our ski trip. Students from Wedderburn travelled with us as well.

On arrival we unpacked and met all the staff that would be helping us for the week. On Tuesday we did Cross Country Skiing. We skied some hills and learnt the basics of skiing, in particular slowing down and stopping and turning.

Wednesday we did downhill skiing. There was heaps of runs that we got to try. We used the chair lifts which was pretty fun.

Thursday we were able to choose whether we wanted to do downhill skiing or snowshoeing. Most people choose downhill but they were both a lot of fun. Friday  it was time to pack up and return home.

Massive thank you to the Bogong staff for having us to Mr. Ringin and Mrs Evans escorted us on this fantastic camp.  Thank you also must go to Mr. Millard who organised the whole trip.
