The first stage of the new Inter-disciplinary Centre, featuring specialised science and art spaces is nearing completion. With all work on schedule, staff and students will move into the new spaces towards the end of term three. Stage one will include two new art rooms, a photography and darkroom facility, two science rooms, general-purpose physics and math spaces, a computer pod and three breakout spaces.
The second stage of the development will begin in the third term holidays, with the demolition of the second half of the old wing and the beginning of construction of the general classrooms, flexible learning spaces and new toilets. The second stage should be completed by the end of term one in 2019.
Staff and students are very excited by the new facilities, the facilities will enhance teaching and learning and enable more collaboration and flexibility.
